$1 million worth of U By Kotex period products will help Share the Dignity reach thousands of people experiencing period poverty.

Australia’s leading period care brandU by Kotex, has made the single largest-value donation in its history, contributing $1 million worth of products to help combat period poverty across the country.

As part of its ongoing partnership with Share the Dignity, U by Kotex has just donated over 40,000 packs of reusable underwear to close out the charity’s latest Dignity Drive. The brand has given nearly 1 million products to Share the Dignity over the past six years, as part of their joint effort to address period poverty.

The partnership has also seen them work on advocacy and educational support, as well as the development of bespoke period care packs rolled out across Share the Dignity’s vending machines in Queensland schools and community spaces.

Managing Director at Kimberly-Clark ANZ, Belinda Driscoll, said:

“Our long-standing partnership with Share the Dignity is driven by a shared commitment to improving the lives of those in need - and of course, working towards the eradication of period poverty in Australia.

“We’re extremely thankful to our charity partners, who work tirelessly to help facilitate the distribution of our essential products across their networks. And we’re proud to play our part in creating a meaningful difference in the communities we serve - as a brand, we believe nothing should ever get in the way of someone’s progress, certainly not a period!

“We look forward to continuing our work with Share the Dignity and achieving further milestones with the team in the months and years to come.”

Rochelle Courtenay, Founder and Managing Director at Share the Dignity, added:

“I am so grateful for U By Kotex’s generous donation of 40,000 packs of period underwear, which is our most valuable donation to date. And whilst we work with many different organisations, this particular donation will be filtered through to domestic violence services nationwide”.

“Our 2024 Bloody Big Survey found 43% of menstruators are using period underwear, but for those struggling, they can come at a high cost. Which is why I am thrilled by U By Kotex’s donation, as it allows us to ensure those fleeing domestic violence can continue to manage their period with dignity” Ms Courtenay said.
