Solar tracker manufacturer PVHardware (PVH) has announced a significant partnership with Global Power Generation Australia (GPG Australia), marking a major milestone as PVH becomes the exclusive tracker supplier for the Glenellen and Bundaberg Solar Farms. These projects, with a combined generation capacity of 360 MW, will be constructed by Monford Group, the appointed main contractor.

This collaboration represents a critical advancement for PVHardware, further expanding its footprint and strengthening its network of EPC partners within the Australian market. Since entering the Australian market in 2018, PVH has supplied trackers for 2.6 GW of solar projects, solidifying its position as a leading player in the region.

These projects mark GPG Australia’s first solar farms in New South Wales and Queensland, showcasing their commitment to progressing renewable energy initiatives in Australia. The Glenellen Solar Farm in New South Wales is slated for commissioning and full operation by Q4 2025, with a planned capacity of 260 MW. The project will feature over 370,000 solar modules, generating sufficient renewable energy to power more than 80,000 homes. Notably, Glenellen will be GPG’s first Agrisolar farm globally, integrating agriculture with solar energy production to minimize land use impact.

In Queensland, the Bundaberg Solar Farm will deliver approximately 100 MW of installed capacity and is expected to commence operations in Q3 2025. With over 168,000 solar modules, this project will generate around 200 GWh annually, enough to supply approximately 36,000 homes, while also reducing CO2 emissions by 170,000 tons annually.

PVH will deploy its Monoline2P trackers for the 260 MW Glenellen project and Monoline1P trackers for the 100 MW Bundaberg project, demonstrating a tailored approach that meets the specific demands of each site. Both projects are set to deliver significant benefits to the local communities, including job creation and enhanced energy generation capacity.

PV Hardware’s global manufacturing capabilities, with facilities across three continents, enable them to customise their products to meet the unique requirements of any solar project. For the Glenellen and Bundaberg Solar Farms, PVH’s technology will be specifically adapted to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Newly appointed VP of sales in Australia, Trevor De Vries, echoed the projects’ importance to PVH in Australia. He said:

“I am delighted to make this as my first announcement with PVH. It certainly marks a significant milestone for our progress and independence within the Australian market. We are especially pleased to work alongside GPG Australia and Monford Group to bring these projects to life.

“My career has been spent in renewables and infrastructure, and I am so pleased to be able to bring my experience to PVH and make a significant contribution to Australia’s energy transition.

“Both of these projects will positively impact the local community, creating jobs and boosting energy generation capacity. PV Hardware’s global manufacturing strategy, with facilities on three continents, allows us to customise their product features to meet the specific needs of any solar project.”
